GROCERY CART CHATTER

A little touch of Winter creeped in last week dropping our temperatures to the freezing mark with about a 29 degrees Wind Chill. Snow flurries, yes, we had a few of those too and even a little sleet in some areas.
I am so glad to see the Sun shining again. My body does not like the cold; bring on the SUN!

House of Help brought out the sweaters, coats and boots to help everyone keep fashionable warm. Did I mention we are having a “1/2 PRICE SALE on our BOOTS and SHOES?  Looking for LARGE sizes for that favorite Guy? Check us out; Men’s shirts in sizes 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X in stock.

We have been giving out so many blankets and quilts that our supply is almost gone. We are in need of NEW or GENTLE USED blankets and quilts of all sizes. A lot of our Parents will request this for their children when they apply for toys.

I have been asked many times if we will be giving out Turkey’s for Thanksgiving. Regretfully, the answer is no. We did not receive Turkeys from the Houston Food Bank for November. Hopefully, we may have some for Christmas for everyone.

So, that our Volunteers can enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend with their families, and Ms. Sid has time to recover from shoulder surgery, House of Help will be closed for the holiday from Wednesday, November 21st through Monday, November 26 2018.  We open again to serve you on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
