HOUSE OF HELP GROCERY CART CHATTER 8-4

It is that time of year again with families looking for school clothes and supplies.  Come shop with us Friday, August 8th and Saturday, August 9th from 10 am – 3 pm for TAX FREE Shopping.  Unless otherwise marked, our Children’s clothes are 50 cents and Children’s shoes will be $1.00.

HOH will  be participating in the  “United Way Waller County Resource Fair “ 9 am  – 12 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 20th at Royal  ISD  Boys and Girls Club 2500 Durkin Rd, Brookshire,  Texas.  There will be information on local Resources and a Food Fair.

As a Community service, HOH has a  “Employment” bulletin board. Each week we post  the jobs that are listed in the local papers of Waller,  Austin, and Washington County. If you are looking for work,  you may put your name, contact information and work you are  looking for on a 3×5 index card and post it on our  board.  We encourage Employers to check our board for  workers and to contact us when they have positions available  so we can post them.

The weather was hot but our 10 and 25  cent bargains were hotter. July Yard Sale a $529 success .  We are planning another Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 27th from 9 am – 3pm.  A sincere THANK-YOU to ALL  our “Angel” Volunteers who helped.  Having said that: We Need  VOLUNTEERS; Pay  $0 – Benefits  Heavenly.

We will be doing our Annual Toys For Tots distribution in December.  We are in need of a safe, secure centrally located building in Hempstead for Santa’s Toy Shop and give out from Dec. 15th – Dec. 23rd.  If you know of such a building, please call us ASAP.  Thank-you.

Pantry needs: Tuna Fish and any can meat items, toilet paper and Hygiene Items.

Special Request:  We have a number of Clients that are  receiving Chemo treatments. Donations of Ensure or any  Generic brand would greatly help us, help them to keep up  their strength, weight and energy while undergoing and  recovering from their treatments.
