GROCERY CART CHATTER

GROCERY CART CHATTER…..Lights glowing, cheery faces, wondrous places, joyous singing, church bells ringing, family gathering, friends visiting, shopping frenzy makes us dizzy……. it must be CHRISTMAS.

The Volunteer Elves’ at House of Help have been busy adding a bit of Christmas to their thrift shop. We invite you to save the gas and stress. Shop local first, and take advantage of the bargains you will find among our shop decorations, glassware, clothing, household and specialty items and yes, even TOYS for that special boy or girl.

You can shop till you drop Tuesday through Saturday, 10am – 3pm.  Proceeds from sales are used to purchase food from the Houston Food Bank for our pantry.

Regular Food Pantry hours for December grocery give-outs, 10am-12pm and 12:30pm-2:30pm.  Last name A-M, Saturday, Dec. 2, and Tuesday, Dec. 5th. Last Name N-Z, Saturday, Dec. 9th and Tuesday, Dec. 12th. Houston Food Bank Mobile Produce Truck will be at House of Help parking lot on Friday, December 8th, 10am – 12 pm. You need to bring your own bags and boxes for your produce. Families go through the line one time and may return at 11:45pm to go through a second time for themselves or for someone else.

Mark your calendar, FREE Vaccinations 55 and Older on Monday, December 11th, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm at House of Help, 716 1st Street, Hempstead (corner of 1st and FM 1488). Please bring vaccination record if available. If you have any questions, please call Health Services at 979-865-5211.
