HOH Success On The Runway
If you missed all our advertisement, sponsored by Prosperity Bank, that we ran in the HOTLINE PRESS and weren’t able to attend the “HOH First Annual Spring Fashion Show” this past Saturday, April 28th, according to all the chatter we heard, you really missed out on some great FUN, FASHION and FELLOWSHIP that was enjoyed by all in attendance.
As you entered the doors to the foyer of Faith United Church, you were greeted by the lovely sound of music being played by the Violin and Cello of LK Strings, Laura and Kate Humes from Hempstead, Texas, who are available to play for your upcoming events.
As you stepped into the main room of the Church, after registering for Door Prizes, you had a chance to partake of refreshments donated for the event by The Garden Cafe and Classic Events Catering.
On the far left side of the room were tables filled with a nice variety of Silent Auction items donated from various local Businesses, Organizations and Individuals within the Community.
The runway was hot with fashion and humor. Paris has nothing that will compare with Barbara – our MC, all our Volunteers and our own “original” Models, 3 weeks old to young Senior Citizens and everything in between, including a four legged man’s best friend.. They strutted the runway in casual attire to evening gowns leaving behind a trail of smiles and laughter.
After the last model had left the runway and items from the Silent Auction had been claim, those in attendance were able to go next door and take advantage of a “Private Shop Till You Drop” opportunity at the House of Help Thrift Shop,
Because EVERYTHING, from the location at Faith United Church to the smallest detail, was generously donated; the HOH is Blessed to be able to apply all of the $1.700.00 event proceeds to the purchase of food for the House of Help Food Pantry.
From the Heart of the HOH Volunteers, to everyone and anyone, businesses, orgainzations and individuals that had a hand in making this event a “Runway Success” – THANK-YOU!
May each of you be Blessed as you have Blessed us,
Sidney (Sid) Chipman, Director
